Dr. Wayne Klettke
graduated from the University of Waterloo as Doctor of Optometry in
1982. Shortly after graduating, he joined his brother to grow the practice
and eventually move it to its current location in Shaganappi Village.
Dr. Klettke is an active participant in the local optometry community.
He has served as president of the Calgary Society of Optometrists and
is a member of the Doctor's Eyecare Network and the Alberta Association
of Optometrists. He has also spent 10 years as Grievance Chairman for
the Alberta College of Optometrists, where he gained valuable insights
into doctor-patient communication.
Together with his wife Ann and children Spencer and Lanette, Dr. Klettke
has participated in many eye care projects in developing nations, most
recently in Nicaragua in 2002. Outside of the office, he enjoys golf,
